Map, ca. 1920, which notes various historic sites in Houston County. The map is essentially a soil survey map from the U.S. Bureau of Soils which contains notes on a few historic sites. Some of the notations, made by Frances Bates, correspond to specific sites marked directly on the map. Not all of the sites mentioned in the notes are marked on the map. Most of the sites mentioned on the map are Native American burial mounds, but a couple of old village sites are also noted.
